An outstanding early 19th century Gustavian period secretaire bureau featuring a top cabinet with a beautiful arching pediment cornice with an unusual decorative stepped profiled edge and shelved interior with curved spoon shelf. The bureau base cabinet comprises of a fall front desk over a pair of letter drawers with three full size drawers below. The desk interior consists of a combination of drawers, cubby holes & compartments. The bureau is raised on decorative shaped bracket feet. Swedish circa 1800 - 1810.
