SWEDISH GUSTAVIAN DROP LEAF TABLE IN ORIGINAL PAINT

A classic early 19th century Swedish drop-leaf 'slagbord' table in its wonderful original wood-effect paint and patina. Historically this type of table was found in rooms used for entertaining. During festivities both leaves would be raised, at quieter times the table could be placed against a wall with perhaps one leaf raised. Circa 1800 - 1820.
