A very rare and extremely elegant translucent green 'damigiane' wine vessel from the island of Capri. Caprese wine vessels were designed with domed bases so they could be carried safely on top of the head. This curvaceous bottle would be perfect for decorative display, or could be used as a beautiful vase. Italian circa 1820.
