A beautiful 1750's glazed Italian confit pot with rare shell handles from the Bay of Salerno. In excellent antique condition.

Originally used for preserving foods including anchovies, sardines & olives in brine, or olive oil. They make wonderful decorative pots that can be used as vases, planted with spring bulbs, herbs etc.
