A very stylish and incredibly rare 19th century Venetian crested mirror with an extraordinary decorative portrait frame, original shaped bevelled glass plate to centre in excellent condition, framed by bubble decorated margins, and bordered on all sides by a multitude of acanthus leaf cartouches. This mirror is a true one-off statement piece, with the ideal combination of clear centre glass for a perfect reflection and stunningly beautiful foxed outer margins giving it both character and beauty. Would make a dramatic statement in any reception room, hallway or bathroom. Italian circa 1880.
